Founder's Manifesto

There are three things I consistently see in mid-market businesses between $20M and $250M revenue in Australia when it comes to data.

One. They have dashboards. But those dashboards are wrong, or held together by manual exports that break the moment someone changes a spreadsheet. Everyone focused on the reporting. Dashboards are reports are like icebergs, you see only the 10% . Rest of the 90% of complexity is hidden below in data foundation which is usually skipped. The pipelines, the data model, the single source of truth. The 90% that makes the 10% actually work.


Two. They know something is wrong but don't have the expertise to fix it. In an enterprise, you have four distinct roles: a data engineer building the pipelines, a data modeller designing the structure, a data analyst surfacing the insight, and an AI engineer building on top of it all. Mid-market businesses can't justify four full-time hires. So it either doesn't get done, or it gets done badly by one person stretched across all four.


Three. The opportunity cost is enormous. Mid-market businesses have more to gain from getting data right than almost anyone. Mid- Market companies already have business systems e.g. CRM, Financial Systems and Operations systems which are installed. They already  have data but they don't have the expertise to prepare it, organise it and draw insights from it. That's the gap I built GrowthBI to fill.

Before I started GrowthBI, I spent 15 years inside the data teams at Australia's top tech companies Atlassian, REA Group, SEEK, and Airwallex. I've seen what good data infrastructure looks like. And I've seen what happens when it breaks.


I founded GrowthBI five years ago. Since then we've worked with 30+ Australian mid-market businesses across finance, sales, and operations, delivering end-to-end analytics projects that have contributed millions of dollars in revenue growth and cost savings.

Her background is in making analytics work in complex, high-stakes environments the kind where the numbers have to be right. That's the standard she holds every GrowthBI project to.

Senior Data Analytics Consultant

Akarsh is GrowthBI's data engineering and Power BI specialist with 5+ years of experience across finance, sales, healthcare, CPG, and marketing.


He architects automated ETL pipelines, builds scalable data models, and delivers advanced Power BI solutions - dynamic DAX, drill-throughs, row-level security across the full stack. His technical toolkit spans SQL, Python, DBT, and cloud platforms including Azure and AWS.
